Why do you live where you live?

Alaska? Because it seemed like a good idea at the time. How does an Eagle choose where to build it's aerie? This house? Because it was the best option at the time and now it's paid for and we are rather "stuck." I'm not unhappy - and lots of thought goes into choosing where to live though sometimes one wonders of the state of mind when the actual decision is made.

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the "Copper Country". I live here because my mother was from the area and she was sick of the military life. I moved here permanently in 1968 and I love it here. I would rather live here than in a lot of other places. Alaska is another place I would like, except I am afraid of earthquakes. Mac
